Hours to vote: Open Monday to Saturday from 9 am to 6 pm. Closed on Sundays.
Open for extended hours on Thursday, June 18 and Friday, June 19, 2026 from 9 am to 8 pm
Open on Tuesday, June 23, 2026 from 8 am to 8 pm

Election day is Tuesday, June 23, 2026
Voting will be open from 8 am to 8 pm on election day.
On election day, eligible voters in Chéticamp-Margarees-Pleasant Bay must vote at their assigned voting location or at the Returning Office.


Voter Information Cards (VIC)

Registered voters in Chéticamp-Margarees-Pleasant Bay will receive a personalized voter information card (VIC) with information on where and when they can vote. You do not need your Voter Information Card to vote.

Who Can Vote in the Chéticamp-Margarees-Pleasant Bay by-election

To be eligible to vote in the Chéticamp-Margarees-Pleasant Bay by-election, you must be:

  • 18 years of age or older on Tuesday, June 23, 2026
  • A Canadian citizen
  • Live in Nova Scotia since November 23, 2025 (six months prior to the date the by-election was called)
  • Reside in the electoral district of Chéticamp-Margarees-Pleasant Bay

What do you need to vote

You can vote without a voter information card.
